I also installed Chromium from Synaptic but it just crashed as well. I reinstalled Firefox from Synaptic but that didn't fix the problem. I managed to install the 32-bit version of Lubuntu 16.04, which was a success in itself as I didn't even manage to get a booting system with recent versions of Xubuntu or Mint XFCE.įirefox just gives me a "Firefox had a problem and crashed" error message when trying to start. A quick search shows that the processor was released in 2003, so this computer is over ten years old. My hardware includes a MS-7051 motherboard, an Athlon XP 2800+ processor, 1.5 GB of RAM and a 200 GB drive. I'm trying to revive a really old computer and am both so close and so far from success.
